Anyone used one to look at their fish?

I just bought a Oregon Scientific ATC 2K Action Camera. It was to dark to use it tonight when I got home but I'm looking forward to having a play and filming the fish in the next day or two.

It uses 2 AA batteries and will record about an hr of video onto a 2gb SD card. Waterproof up to 3m. I got it to use as a mobile cam for another use but should be good to have a look at the fish every now and then.

And a youtube video underwater test

I've had the idea, just not the initiative to install... go for it. you may find you need additional lighting.

hmmm,
By that I meant soft starters or anti dimmers, to slowly turn the lamps up to full brightness.

I expect you understood that, but just to be anal about it ;-)

oops, posted prematurely

I've recently been investigating waterproofing a webcam,
I've pulled the camera apart, but that's as far as it got. :blackeye:

I've been meaning to make an underwater enclosure for a wireless webcam for quite some time. How good would it be to be able to check on your fish remotely!!

My design is real low tech, just some PVC pipe which keeps the water out, so the camera isn't submerged at all. The only tricky part is to cut an end cap and affix either glass or perspex such that it doesn't leak!

Not sure how good the quality would be too.
