Did water test again today.

pH - 7.8 to 8
Amm - 0
Nitrite - 0

Apparently water is still not clear. Not sure to what degree, but will get a chance to see it for myself tomorrow morning. Took the day off.

Results still the same this morning despite feeding.
pH - 7.8
Amm - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 0

Plants don't seem to be growing. Water is still green. I am feeding 10-15 (I think) trouts 10-15 pellets per day now, since Tuesday.

Got a tarp to cover over the fish tank as well.

Well yes you are right, but shouldn't I see traces of ammonia? I merely added the rest of the information, such as plants not growing because the results alone may look like the system might be cycled. But if plants aren't growing, it cannot be cycled.

Still greenish and cloudy. Covered it with a tarp just today.

Well I did water change earlier this week, about 30%?? But have not done a water change since.

What I noticed was that the water turned greenish again the next day.

I have a question.

As stated earlier in my thread, I had a small aquarium tank in the shed where I have put some goldfishes into, and after a few weeks or so, it appears that the water test shows that there is ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. I had one of those water pump that sucks water from its body and sprays out water from a "spout". The pump has a built in foam and carbon filter. Recently I have washed out the filter because it was losing efficiency.

Hence my question is "Would the shit that came out from the filters have the bacteria that I need for my growbeds??"
Based on the water test, it certainly shows that there is already some bacteria activity in that small tank.

If it does contain the bacteria, then I suppose I have just poured away good shit that I could have used to "seed" my growbeds??

YES it would of had some of the beneficial bacteria....maybe only some and probably not all....

Relax Ivan...at the end of the day , your system will have all, then you can go on to stress about some other aspect of your system  Don't worry , we all do :blackeye:
