Could someone please help me with this, I'm a self confessed math spastic!
I would like to know how you work out how much it will cost to run a pump on my future system?

Its a 370w pump
The power costs basically 19 cents a Kw.
It will be run 15 mins on 45 off, so 6 hrs a day.

how do you work it out from there?
I'm sure there are some smart people out there in AP land.

Power is charged in kW-hours.

0.37kW for 6 hours = 2.22kWh

At the rate you gave that's 42.18c per day

Other threads may help you to determine if a 370W pump actually uses 370W or more

Allow for 50c per day, jobs done

And yes a 370Watt pump should be using very close to 370 Watts or it's broken/restricted etc.

you can get a lot lower wattage high volume pumps, mine is 12,000 litre per hour pump uses 175 watts runs 40min on 1 hour off works out at about $17 per month or 56c per day

It's an old farm pump attached to a push bike:) Geeee his Mrs gets tired.

I'd guess when his better half tires of that bike ,, he plugs in one of these......

Slightly cheaper than an Ebara Optima... and the Ebara is about 380w from memory..

From the surface of the water to the nearest outlet. That will be your head height.

I don't trust companies that fail to give data flows on their pump products.

With your head measurement DON'T forget piupe friction , elbows etc ,, they can easily double or triple the head your pump must push against
