I for one.. will join the fight and stand in front of the dozers...

Chappo's reference was to the BHP steel mill at Pt Kembla... just up the road...

Wow what a trip up memory lane for me, I was born and raised for 4 years in Sutherland before we transferred to Perth. So that's what it was about... I heard about it but never understood. Thanks.

the dirt garden is kicking the AP garden in growth though, but we worked the soil well before planting. :flower:

This statement i wrote in the last week hasn't quiet been true.

The broccoli are all from the same batch of seed, and planted at the same time. but the AP broccoli are about 2 weeks , maybe morein advance

So some plants are doing better than others, depending on there requirements. This experiment will keep me going for a few years in testing, watch and benifiting :flower: from the out comes.

The dinner is shot roo...and steamed vegies from the gardens. just a bit more shot meat , and the grocery shop in town, that charged me the other week $33 a kilo for scotch fillet, can go and jump off a cliff.

File comment: AP Passion fruit, this plant is last season's. It didn't do a thing last year. But this year, it has just kicked. In a few weeks it will be massive....keep tuned

Jessy, what variety of spinach do you have pictured? Looks great.

Also, I was wondering if the nice fence around the dirt garden is necessary to keep critters from eating the plants?

Are roos bold enough to come into your garden?

Hey thanks for the laugh.....though I probably shouldn't....

Sometimes you see a stray roo jumping across the oval being chased by the dogs....but here in the Pilbara.....they don't need my garden to feed, there is heaps of food everywhere for them. The fence was to supprt the bean, and show my animals, when we put it up that that was my spot :blackeye: They never go in there...

That spinach is a Digger' Club seed called....Fordhook organic silver beet

Fordhook is the largest, best performing silverbeet in my opinion. Dirt or AP.

Both gardens are looking good. Are you going to use AP water on the dirt garden to see how it affects growth.

The only thing the dirt garden has that the AP doesn't is bullock shit and blood and bone

Are you measuring top-up water to the AP versus water to the dirt garden? It would be interesting to know if the AP system is using more or less.

BTW your pictures always make me hungry!
