bottom tank is like a sump.
Water pumps to the top of the first waterfall
and falls into the first FT.
A feed line goes to GB 1 in a group of 4 (gravity)
from the first FT.
Then cascades to the 4th GB, where it departs to the last tank.
The excess water over the waterfall to the 2nd FT.
The second group of 4 GBs are feed by gravety feedline from the 2nd FT.
cascading to the last GB and exiting to the last FT.

Total volume of the FTs is around 20000ltrs + 8 x 500ltr GBs

If i ws starting again my setup would be totaly different But its working atm with very little effort so will probley stay like that for the rest if its life [and mine :cry: ]

The last Gb will be a raft bed.
The waterfall will work a treat when the pump is going :roll:
The GBs will allow about 2500l per hour to flow thru them 8)

Thanks J, heaps to go... Don has done really well.
Final touches now...
Prelim water test pH 7.4 -7.6. water at 15c

...but yes I was doing some numbers today :shock:
Prolly spent about 200+hrs myself on this one :lol:
Don would have done more and we had help from Chris and noely.
The system is designed to handle 1000kg of Trout
and be year round :cheers:
