Intrigued as i am by the whole siphon thing "Water goes up!... Water goes down!... Water goes up!... Water goes down!... Water goes up!... Water goes down!..." (in homer simpson voice)

and the whole concept, and the fact that I am ever impatient, I have hobbled together a test system.

It is using a 160Ltr Black tub from Bunnos (Bunnings)

with 2 halves of a 76litre drum I picked up from Paramount Brownes (you get 3 for $20)

I am still tuning the heights of the flood cycle, and have a reasonably working bell siphon... I can watch them for hours :D in fact the wife gets stroppy because I do... :cheers:

Its fun watching siphons! Some ppl just don't understand. :roll:

I plan to place a hammock new the falling water so I can take naps by the "falls".

OK, just picked up a couple of blue barrels for GB's - a couple of 500Ltr Tanks from B - 99$, and a couple of Half clamshells sandpits for GB's.

Now I have to work out the plumbing, and placement.

I really am going to need to do some digging aren't I?

DOH!!! - this hobby is too much like work.... NAHHH - Just kidding.

my levels are changing - I finally have nitrate and nitrite readings - and amonium is down.

after only 2 weeks in cold weather
