Well it almost didn't happen...but it did in the end...

All up so far 750 trout delivered... still 100 to go next weekend.... If there's that many in the tank.....

Supplier reckons he actually probably delivered closer to 1100 than 1000... which would mean that there should be at least another 250-300 in the tank....

But I'm dubious... unless they're hiding somewhere...

Thanks for the trout. A long day, but seems you made good time home.
All settled in and a small feed this morning, blinked and gone.
1 DOA - jumper last night that wasn't noticed. 70mm 21 gms. One of the small ones.
Opened the lids this morning had 3 more jumpers, temporary freedom.
Another decide to swim down the flush pipe. Plopped into the bucket, no worries, lost 30L water.
temp 9, PH 7.2, Nitrite 0, ammo 0, nitrate 0

John's trout also well and had a feed this morning, no casualties.

You're welcome Rup
That not pedal to the metal, that's flying with afterburners blazing

Ammendment: Put my glasses on and the 70mm, with a tape reading was 120mm. Still one of the small ones.
Midday reading: temp 10, ammo 0, nitrite 0

all good with my trout too thanks Rup. Tested them out with a bit of food today and they all seemed pretty keen, splashes and swirls all over the place, much more exciting than silvers. :D

A couple of red wines and I can stand there watching the trout playing and the bubbles from the aerator all day (providing the glass stays full)

Had a few more enquiries for orders of trout... to make it economical I'll have to go down and pick them up myself...

So last call for prospective NSW trout purchases....

Also have arranged a purchase of feed from Ridleys.... 4mm & 6mm 25kg bags... and would hope to have delivered by this weekend..

Would suggest that anyone requiring feed calculate their requirements on the following basis...

Assume a FCR (food conversion ratio) of 1.5:1... i.e for every 1.5kg of feed, 1kg of fish...

i.e 50 fish (@ 1kg of size) would require 75kg of feed.... or 3 bags (minimum)... would suggest 2 x 4mm + 1 x 6mm...

Please email me with your requirements...

Cost will be $75/bag and a flat rate delivery fee of $10/bag... ($5/bag for those within the Wollogong/Nowra region)

Hi John,
Count me in for feed please, send me the bill as per last time.
Fish going well
Amo .50 nitrite 2.0 or so, nitrate 10 to 20, ph 7.2
Have been feeding every second day and it has been raining last two days so I have dumped a few inches out of the tank for the last few days, so I spose that is my water change. Hasn't done anything to the test results they are staying the same.
Fish look happy enough.
Any suggestions
