Wow, sure have been busy and popular too. Get those students hooked. marketing prowess - an oldie but a goodie. Thanks for the update. Can see how you're building that momentum for the final thrust to newcastle. More happiness spread about.

Yep those by=passes are GREAT ....., Miranda to well north of the harbour bridge in under 25 minutes. Do they chargew a TOLL per fish??? May have to suggest that to our infantile NSW Government.

Don't you dare.. the current government would be stupid enough to consider it...

And the current opposition would want to debate exactly what fish species you were talking about... and then tell you that you'd selected the wrong ones anyway...

Mad dash from Rydalmere across to Fish&vege's place at Noth Ryde... with a detour via Killara (I punched Northcott Avenue into google maps... instead of Northcott Street...)... and a few circles and u-turns...

Rupe,

Thanks for settling the fish in despite me being in Berrima retrieving the other part of my family at the time . Man these trout are fun to feed , quite different behaviour to the silvers , they quite happily took some 2mm feed I have been feeding the silvers, before I I went looking for the package of fish food you left.. btw after the darn cat found it and had a taste.
So far they look to have settled in happily , no floaters and very active fish.
here's a quick pic

Bugger... can't get the caged trailer for tomorrow... the guy that hired it, is marooned with the trailer, and a broken gearbox... in... Newcastle...

If he'd told me, I would have asked him to take the trout up with him...

I did get the prezzie, thanks Rupe. They'll work a lot better than the dicky little green ones I'm using at the moment.

The trout are doing well. I had nine fatalities in the first 24 hours. Seven due to travel stress no doubt and 2 jumpers. All good over the last couple of days though. Ammonia jumped up quite high - 4 ppm last two days so have slowed down the feeding and done a 20% water change the last two afternoons. Nitrite is at 0.5 ppm and Nitrate at 5 ppm which tells me the filter is working. Would expect to see the Nitrates go up over the next week or so and ammonia come down.

I'll post a thread on my progress along with some photos when I get organised.

Cheers...
