I use 17m mainly as its contest free to chat to friends over the pond. I`m usually lurking around on a weekend and sometimes on 80m for local chinwags inter-G. I don`t use datamodes and i`m not good at cw..its something i`d like to get proficient at though
Do you have an antenna up for 17?

No, not specifically, I am just running a G5RV, I am planning on building a beam to put up on the roof of my house, but I will probably have it tuned in for 20 meter.

I pretty much just run SSB while I am operating, some of my friends are really into PSK, but with having an older radio and running linux its more difficult to get everything running to do digital, plus if I felt like being in a chatroom I would just find one on the internet, I like talking to people :-)
