Just got my first aquaponic system up and running. Hardware system is ok, but bio-organically not sure yet due to colder weather. Not sign of growth but sign of stabilizing.

Plants: pepper, tomato, green onion, sweet pea, zuchinni, long bean, lettuce leafs.
Fish: 27 goldfish.

Is there any other member from Canada?

Welcome Coach... haven't had a look at your pics yet... but good to hear you have a system up and running...

Do you have a test kit?.... if so, post the values up... and we'll be able to give you an idea of where you're at cycling wise...

Coach;
Looking at your Blog, Just remember, God looks after his (or Her) own.
Amen (or AWomen) whatever.
Delving into A.P. is a very personal decision and application and as far as I am concerned, applied religion has little to contribute to its continuation or demise!

There are lots of Canadians here on this forum or others, as well as Novia Scotians, Alaskans and other sub-zero afficienados!
Good fortune for your endeavors, we are all here to help.

Cheers IanK :mrgreen:

In my system, tomatoes tend to take all nutrients while peppers compete well, but suffer some deficiencies. Things like sqash are really showing problems..... need more fish!

Without a test kit, though, you are really in the dark. The Master Test Kit works well: http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/group/11391/product.web
