Gee Rup you got all the gear there.
I deliver mine in an IBC with 12 volt aerators, much cheaper than using oxygen.

Nice esky.

Like the o2 bottle. Wonder how one of those would go as an emergency o2 injector for a ft. Fine diffuser at depth etc.

About 600 of them @ 100mm+... 4-6 hours drive by the time I get around everyone...

And moving Silver Perch around in boxs during summer gets a bit dicey...

Needed the oxy bottle to bag fish anyway... and it's only $56... for pure medical grade O2...

You would be surprised how many you can move with just aeration.
On a usual delivery run I have 700 odd fish in just 300L of water in the IBC with 1 (very big) airstone.
Sometimes the last fish are getting dropped off almost 10 hours after I left home. I have delivered over 5000 fish this year with only the loss of 1 fish!!

True... but like I said... I'm going to have to bag some of them...

And will be bagging Silvers in spring.... so the oxy bottle was needed...

And the tank was bought earlier... with the view to the future of possibly doing live fish into the Sydney Asian restaurants... in which case I need to have a licensed "container" and a licenced & inspected vehicle...

The bin is widely used and acceptable to food authorities... and can always be doubled up to move iced fish products...

Airpump puts out 100L minute.
Rup, how many litres is that insulated tank??And whats one worth?
One problem with the IBC's is that they do heat up in the sun and I have experienced 5C water temp rises in just 2 hours on a warmish day.

1000L Gav.... insulated...

The Nylex ones sell from about $2100-$2500..... and are pretty smick...

These ones are made by a Canadian company... "Exactic".... primarily for fishing trawlers, co-ops etc.... and aren't quite as "neat & tidy" as the Nylex.... but retail at around $1200...

That's not a Cod Stu... it's actually a Northern Silver Perch... you guys down there just have a mutant variety....

P.S... my tank cleared with the recent rains... and the Silvers are looking pretty good...

Tank still 17-18 overnight, 19-21 through the day.... Silvers still feeding well....

Water in the trout tank was a bit warmer than I would have liked.... about 16.5.... they came out of 10 degrees.... hope they don't get too confused...
