Hey Muzza. Well i got a lead on coco peat though it is actually a little different. It is from a palm tree. If you have ever been to bali you will see the temples. They look like they have hair on them but really it is palm husks. They are black so i am going to try a half and half and see how they work.

Hi Nick, the size is as follows.

1400mm Long x 540mm Wide x 350mm Deep
Total capacity of 250 litres
Useable capacity of around 235 litres.

Water is pumped from the Grow Bed sump and split, most going back to the 2300 ltr tank and some going to the new 230 ltr nursery tank.

Note how brown the water is from the coco peat, but the Jades in the main tank don't mind. I see them occasionally when they come to the top to feed on the cos lettuce leaves I throw in every day, so I know they are happy.

Looking good Muzz. Can you describe how you made your venturi. What plumbing pieces did you use etc.

thanks murray, it is indeed a beutiful looking tank. I now just have to fiddle with my design to fit the bed. It should be doable. but will need to ask some engineering questions in a new post.

Another shot of the Fingerling tank and the aeration that happens at every possible point in the process

Andy, re the silvers, I don,t know how I can get them to you.... I will get 200 or more and you are welcome to 30 or so, but I have no oxygen to pack them for you. If you were to come and pick up you would need a small barrel or similar with a 12 volt pump run off your car battery to aerate them (I imagine) some sort of air supply to keep them going

Murray, you really should be a legend...bugger this bordering on business. If you get the Silvers I will pick them up. It is only an hour drive and I have some good containers and aeration options. Thanks mate...we will speak soon.
