What a beautiful baby girl.
Thankyou so much for sharing her with us AM.
And thanks for all those on the forum who have now made it possible for us to contribute to her memorial.
My deepest condolences
Aeon

THere are so many things I want to say - I just cant seem to stay focused for long enough to do so - The generosity and desire to help displayed here is in itself a help - knowing that people care helps, it seems to take a bit of the edge off of the cold reality of it all and helps remind me of the importance of friends and people as a whole-
THank you all oh so very much...

All the best with the memorial, here's hoping it does something to ease your pain.

I had to take the day off today - after teaching 2 lessons it just became too much!
I used the time to go chat to the owner of the local Hydroponics store - he showed me a few pumps I could possibly get, but said that I would battle to get a good head ( :? ) with them and suggested 12V pumps instead... They cost a fraction of what the solar powered pumps will cost, including converter and cable - he also stocks those premade THICK plastic ponds, where you only need to dig the hole and insert the pond... the pond will be the expensive thing by the looks of things (Its about 700 to 750 L pond).
12V is an option only because it is a lot safer than regular 240 (should the line ever be cut - I wil;l be pricing the orange condute this comming week too)

So is the idea to run 12v cable from where the 240v stops AM. How long will that run be?

How much conduit will you be needing AM? Do you have a REXEL Electrical branch nearby?

VB - We would have to run a max of about 30 m if we go with 12V - but still waiting to hear on Steve's mystery investigation...

BK - I see that there is a "Rexel Australia Electrical Supplies" listed in the yellow pages for Cairns - why?

AM, if you're just going to run 12V cable then you can probably drop the condiut. Just be aware of the trasformer you will require, and the guage of 12V cable if you're going for a long run

Was going to say that if you do want to get the conduit I will organise a dodgey sale for you coz I work for em and get special prices ;)...Steve is right about the cable, just make sure its garden lighting cable or similar because it has a heavier sheath if your going to bury it

I will take you up on an offer like that - but only if you can assure me that it will not put your job at risk!.. Perhaps if you told them what it was for they would agree to a 'deal'? - I just dont want to get people into trouble for me or my daughter's memorial ... (although I greatly appreciate the offer!!! :D)
