Bell St Aquarium in coburg..your local aquarium should have it.
I dont know how well it works...I think natural bacteria strains will eventually replace those from the bottle..but the bottle strains will help process the ammonia and keep the fish happen until the natural stuff builds up....Anybody here have any other info?

now that's a tower! Wow! It all looks beautiful!

Is that tower made from welded up kegs?

Fantastic Progress F&F.... Very good use of recylced materials there for the tower. I do concur with Jaymie they do look awfully like kegs to me too.

On that note, how do you think old gas cylinders would cope in the same conditions. They would have to be coated unlike the aluminium kegs. I have a access to some tall cylinders, got me thinking...

Yes if you look at scrap metal dealers there are plenty of things to make towers out of ie stainless gas tanks from cars thats my next one

Well done F&F.
Looking a treat !!
Good effort well worth it for the enviro and expected harvest.
In combination with the soil garden you should have fruit&veg covered.
I don't remember seeing chooks but they may have been there-they will be well fed on scraps....hehe
good work thanks for pics!!!
