If like me you are working at that moment change your work PC before you go home, that way you won't be shocked by the time when you get to work on Monday

Daylight Saving is DEADImage
71% of the Vote counted and 55.49% against, this is the biggest margin so far, I would say that bulk of the country vote not yet counted so expect a bigger swing, I must say that in a recent post that I predicted the margin against would increase and probably be a record,

Wonder how long it's going to take before they think we need a 5th trial period lasting X years, and then a 5th vote.... :geek:

That would be unfair to the majority Burnsey, The majority are always right, and the minority always whinge when they loose  :P
See lungy is whinging  It's not the fault of the wonderful hard working, multi skilled cockies, it is the fault of the so called city folk that voted NO in their thousands, here is a LINK TO THE BREAKDOWN
as I see it city was 50-50 almost with some surprising centres against completely, Burnsey, Kalamunda is vastly against as well, so all your friends can't be wrong  I think no Pollie will have the Balls to mention DLS for at least 10 years, one of the big points that bought this trial was "so many people didn't get to vote last time" well this is always the case in any election we have, and the fact it is the biggest no margin in 34 years of voting would suggest that the ones that missed the last 3 votes couldn't careless about it either

I thought everyone in WA worked in Chinese companies digging minerals in under-ground mines  Surely it's dark down there anyway???
Maybe it was the "curtain fading" issue that won the majority ,,,LOL

Hopefully the government will not be swayed by business again to waste millions of our tax payer dollars in some farcical "lets all change our clocks, and we'll all lead happier lives" rubbish.

It is full of old retirees who hate change.

I think referendums are a cop out. We vote in politicians and pay them to make the hard decisions and they should have been able to make a decision on what was right for WA without worrying about whether they would loose votes or wasting thousands of dollars as EB has mentioned.

Not saying they should have voted yes (although it would have made me happy, I love having longer daylight hours when I get home in the afternoon, it is when I get to enjoy my hobbies and family and play with my toys) but they should have done it without bothering me to stop what I was doing yesterday just to drive to school and write yes on a ballot paper. Even though I was digging clay with a crowbar, it was still better than driving to a polling place and voting :x .

" I think referendums are a cop out. We vote in politicians and pay them to make the hard decisionst"

Would you seriously employ that bunch of *sigh* to make a decision Burnsy? The last thing I would give pollies is anything above their mandate?
I like referendums, it stops the 'horses asses' being in control: Lets face it you lost, accept it gracefully:lol: :drunken:
