Yes, and remember that no matter what you do first, you will see plusses and minuses with what you do. There are as many ways to do things as people doing them, and each system needs to be designed with the location, the materials, and the person doing it in mind. There are always differing opinions, and some of them are more applicable to you than others. Your system will not have problems with getting too cold in winter, others don't have to worry about it getting too warm in summer.
I wouldn't give up on the roof entirely, but you might want to take the roof as a place for light-weight NFT channels or something. One option is to do CHIFT PIST, but from the Sump, pump all the way to your roof. Run NFT channels there, then end them with strawberry towers down the side of the house, then from there to the main tank. The main Tank would overflow to the gravel GBs for scrubbing the water, and then from there into the sump.

Again, look at what you have, what you want, then think on it, and throw it out here, and see what problems people see, then go back to the drawing board, and revise. <<repeat>>

well.... my home is three story tall, in this case, the rooftop would a 4th one, pump would have to be powerful to move the water... and expensive to get and mantain.

any way... I very interested on these "strawberrytowers" how they work exactly? are only usable on CHIFT PIST?? cause I would like to add them on a Flood and Drain system.

Strawberry towers are pipes with holes cut out (or pouches stretched from) to make cups. They are filled with gravel, lava rock or hydroton. Water is either continuously or intermittently put in the top, and runs down, watering the strawberries. There are several examples of vertical GBs. I think people generally have better luck with larger pipes, offset holes, and heavier, periodic flow.

My suggestion of using it with CHIFT PIST, was because the sump pump is going to function periodically (when the sump water exceeds a certain height), and if you ran it between your sump and your fish tank, you would still have the regular GBs between your fish tank and your sump.

Type your post... then scroll down to "Browse"....

This will allow you to search and locate the photo you want... when selected... click "Add the File"...

Another window will appear indicated upload in progress... when complete the second window will close... and your post window will refresh...

You have the option then of using the "Place Image In-line" to position your photo... and continue typing...

Or can go back to "Browse"... and repeat for another two times... (max three photos per post)...

When finished.... click submit....

If you don't explicitly position your photos... they will attach at the bottom of the post... in reverse order ... (a quirk of the php code)....

Photos must be less than 256k in size and preferrably dimensioned to 800x600...

If your photos are hosted somewhere else rather than being uploaded... You can use the [img]... hotkey...which will place the markers in your post...

You now need to type the appropriate url where your photos are located between the markers...
