Ok, so I ended up paying for a concrete pad, there was a chance i could have got it for free but i got impatient.. (probably a good thing)... 32mpa, 200mm thick 2800mm wide. x 2100mm. Laid down some bricks and all seems relatively tuff. Had all my form work down in place with small setter bars protruding enough for me to weld more structure to for when I cavity fill the walls. Picked up another 190 Maxi bricks for a carton of beer and a bottle of wine... score! Hanging out for the weekend to get back out there and build some more.

I HAVE A ROCKMELON! (in my AP obviously) absolutely stoked about it.

... my whole outer skin below ground has been built now, so i need to mesh the walls ready for my internal course and then cavity fill with concrete... then more brick laying. If anyone knows of a semi retired brickie by trade who is interested in some light work for $$ let me know. cheers
