Ivan I would suggest that the above comment would have to come from a Magna Driver :withstupid:

Looks good Nocky and the hosting seems to be a pretty good price. I have been wanting to get a website up and running for my timber milling business but have not got off my butt and done anything about it. Did you do your own web designing?

Used to drive a Volvo, loved that car, she'd do anything for me, until a silly pre-release Lancer kamakazied her :-(
Now I drive a Subaru. Both unbreakable cars. Same goes for my wife's corolla.

Yes I do my own design burnsy, basic I know, but a lot of my users have no access to ADSL and use...........dial up  so not to many bells and whistles makes pages faster loading, another one of my efforts here http://members.westnet.com.au/bishs/ a bit of opposition to you I know, but he looks after me with Marron and knows all the spots for shrimp and other exotics I get from time to time.
Hosting is excellent and a lot of extra's, best I could find for what I wanted to do and they provide a free domain if you pay 12 months in one go, I have a weather station that uploads every 3 seconds plus weather banners use .PHP, there are cheaper hosts still In the US but not what I needed, I won't put a direct link here to the host but if anyone wants to check out my web host visit http://www.paulnock.net and link is at the bottom of the page

I thought the layout was great nice and neat without all the crap that everyone feels is necessary on many websites today. Thanks for the link, always good to have other millers details to pass onto would be clients who I can not help. His timber stocks and shed are awesome, not to mention the machinery he has to help out with his milling, I am limited to two arms and a crowbar

Thanks for the comment on the web site, thats exactly what it is designed for

Might want to check that one boss ;)

Your front page is 93K in size, that's 21 seconds to load for someone on dialup.

~70K of that is in images, for instance, that cloud picture adds nothing to the page yet burdens a dialup user with a 3second wait (14K).

There's plenty of website analysers out there, first result in google is http://websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/ you might be able to speed it up even more for the dialup folks.

Cheers,
James

Thanks for your feedback, but as the site has a weather theme the cloud to me has plenty significance, 3 secs is better than 3 hours the cloud stays basically
