VB,

500W pump would consume 12KWH per day. At 13cents per KW it would cost you a bank breaking $1.56 per day :)

Thanks Steve - bit much for my liking, though it is pumping a shit load of water. A smaller pump might be in order.

Is that nation wide???
Or is there somewhere I can check what it costs per KW in my area (I dont normally ask for this sot of info, I just cough up and pay my bills without thinking much about them  ... slowly changing that though) :sad1:

the sky's the limit. I've gotta go. EOFY and work has gone a bit nuts. Early start, must not think about aquaponics for at least 24 hours..... oh nuts, who am I kidding. Gotta pick up the steel for my greenhouse tomorrow,; hey you just can't stand in the way of progress and lets face it, aquaponics is for the good of mankind, much more important than stinking paperwork.
