Hi all, I am getting a domain and looking for suggestions (constructive ones ) for my name, I'm known through out the wheatbelt as Nocky and have Weather as my main theme with various farming info as well so any idea's on a name,

I did say constructive but due to no ABN couldn't get .au and most I had picked were taken, so have gone with ..................................will post when I have it running

You can register a business name, you dont require an ABN (There's a cost involved in registering a business name though).

Alternatively you can register as a sole trader for an ABN (using your name), if you have a TFN it's instant online - best to check tax implications with someone qualified before doing this however.

There's also the id.au designed for 'individuals'.

My recommendation would be just to stick at it and come up with something in the .com / .net TLD - they're much cheaper anyway

narroginweather.com would be my suggestion

FWIW you should choose a domain name based on keywords you want your site found by.

narroginweather is excellent SEO for "narrogin" & "weather" keywords - which are likely search terms for people interested in the weather at Narrogin

something with nocky in it (or other personalised domain names) isn't going to fair nearly as well. Just depends on what you want out of the site I guess.
