Thats why its half the price, it uses twice the power. Still an ok pump, just expensive to run. I wont go back from Tornado style pumps now. The tornado's are silent too.
Right you are. I just ordered the Tornado 10000 from Rock Around the Block.

Was thinking of ordering one from them until I saw the $65 shipping fee! Also feel more comfortable ordering from RATB.

Ryan RATB are the best price pumps, the Jebao above works out the same price as RATB even with the high postage, that guy with the 6000 drops his sell price to seem cheap, and raises the postage, Jebao make the Tornado as well, I have used a Jebao 4500lt for 12 months now and hasn't missed a beat, runs 1hr on 1hr off 24/7 I have a 12000 tornado as OBO swears by them, OBO do you use a float switch?

No float switch on either of the 4 Tornados I use. The sump is 8000 litres, it would take some sort of miracle to empty it.

You would be very unlucky to get such a huge leak, anything that I have had thats leaked has been a small leak, thats noticed by the wet patch.

I cant really see any way that a properly built system could loose 12,000 litres in 24 hours. Anyway nocky, your misses would complain about the water in the kitchen lol :D

She's never in the F****en kitchen
Your right though....................Maybe :P
They look like a bit of stuffing around, and when I had a trial run yesterday, the pump tank goes about 6" lower than than the other , so would have to set the switch pretty low
