Hi all have been a bit slack lately due to work and other projects.
Every thing is good, temp today in buninyong is 40 and fish tanks 25 trout are good so far, added ice tonight temp back to 21 at 8.30pm i hope the cooler temp tonight will lower fish tank temp even more.

Hi Jim

We process about 30 rainbow trout out of the system yesterday after the tank temp got to 27. They started to suffer big time even with heaps of circulation and aeration..They tasted great..In good the Silver Perch now!!

Hi LB just harvested 5 rainbows the rest tomorow temp ok at 25 but today 26 and i think thats the limit but i tried, ice and all that, 200-to 600gms 300-320 mm long not a bad effort from yearlings 150mm in july but i will harvest the rest tomorow.

Hi all harvested the rest this morning 2 went 750gms and only lost 1 fish there was a brown mixed up with the rainbows and it was the most active and hardest to catch maybe they are more temp tolerant than rainbows.

I've got to admit that I'm truely impressed that people have managed to keep their trout for so long this season...

I wonder if they could have done so with passive aeration devices? ....

If it wasn't for a week above 40 deg C in Melbourne, I reckon we could have kept the Trout alive right through summer.

Enjoy your feed Jim
