When I caught my three catfish (living in beer cans in a lake), one seemed to have a bit of loose skin on the leading edge of one of its pectoral fins. During handling, it came off (no apparent damage to fish) and wiggled away until I got rid of it. Now, 6 months later, I see another one in a very similar spot on one of the catfish. It is about 6mm (.25") long by .5mm or 1mm wide and, obviously, fish-skin colored and somewhat leech-like. In fact, "leech" would be my guess. I'm planning to get rid of it before I transfer the fish from aquarium ap to greenhouse ap. These fish have been through 6ppt salt for weeks, then dropped to about 2ppt a couple months ago. Sorry about no picture, but these fish are very shy and are never ready for a closeup. Any other ideas, thoughts, or advice?

weird. I've never heard of leeches biting fish, but I guess it stands to reason, there're more fish in leech infested water than stray animals...
