Trevor's system consist of 3 x 3000l Fish tanks, 3 x 1000l Fingerling tanks and 12 x Growbeds.
We have set it up to run as independent systems.

He will be stocking the system with Rainbow Trout, Silver Perch and Catfish.

The system is located on under cover with bird netting cover around the sides with a 1m metal sheet wall around the sides.
Backup power is supplied via a generator hooked into the power box.

The system allows Trevor to grow his own herbs, tomatoes to use as seasoning for his meat products (sausages and salami) as he wanted to get away from preservatives used in the dry herb products he was buying.

All power cables were ran in a 90mm pipe at high level, for a neat finish.

Trevor also installed a misting system at high level for the hot summers.

Lady bugs are all ready everywhere. :)

quartz

Trevor has already got heaps of ideas for Yabbies in the fingerling tanks (he said he has 4000 of them in his dam that have a blue body and are the size of footballs) and wants to add a light over the fish tanks to attach insects for a night time snack..He has a friend in town that breeds maggots that is looking at doing to...looking at get a bee hive too. These farmers have heaps of energy :P

Hard to leave the place....I am green with envy.....
