At Disney's Epcot at the Land exhibit they grow hydroponic produce for one of the restaurants in that building but not all the restaurants in that building, just the one and definitely not the whole park or all of Disney.

Rom you have kind of a David Crosby look in that picture. :hippy2:

Haven't thought about looking like David Crosby. Don't think my hair line is as high as his though.
I've lost a lot of weight since this pic was taken and I've had my hair cut way back because I had a job at a prison and they don't want you looking like the inmates.

Ronnie, that pic wasn't taken at Christmas. I know because I took it.

Hi everyone, I'm Gail, Ron's sister. He was telling me about this site so I decided to check it out. Looks like a lot of good info. I can't wait to get started growing fresh veggies.

Gail

Welcome Welcome!!!!!!!

I think a nice little AP set up for the salad bar might be a nice touch. Patrons have to come along and cut lettuce leaf right off the plants and dunk them in the cold water then drop their salad in the spinner, then onto their plate? Would probably have to be a little NFT set up where you can replace the lettuce plants as they start looking tattered.

I'd have to ask the health dept. about that one. I have a feeling the answer will be no, because you would have to have running water and a sink to wash the lettuce. Also bare hands on "ready to eat" foods is a no no. That wouldn't stop me from putting one in to show where the lettuce came from and how it was raised. :geek:
Speaking of... The inspector just by yesterday and I got a 100.

Probably right, might just have to be a display in the window or something like that. Bring in the nice ready to harvest stuff for the display and the next day it becomes the salad/whatever while the next batch of nice stuff comes in.

Don't worry Ron, if you can't keep up with veggie supplies for the restaurant, I'm sure some local AP'ers can help you out.
I've heard that beer would be a valuable barter tool, but in your case a slice of pizza might work just as well...
Welcome aboard!
