Nature has a way of adapting. Not to us but it will handle the cane toad in time. Hope it does not distroy to may other animals before it happens.

If any of you have travelled in the north-east of Thailand you will know they eat EVERYTHING ,, silk worm lavae , ant eggs , rats , beetles, etc etc .
Anyway apparently the poorer people in the region have worked out how to remove the poison sac's and eat Cane-toads. So i suggest we open immigration for them ,, but then what do we bring in to eat the Thai's?

Maybe they can turn the toads into biofuel. Need to fill up the car, just grab a golf club and head into the back yard.

When I was working with Alcoa in Massena NY, some of the local raccoons had learned how to skin a toad before eating it. You would find toad skins here and there but would have no idea what happened to the rest of the toad untill we spotted one in the act. What you need to do is teach something like a raccoon there to skin the kane toads and then eat them.

Skinning's not good enough, as the poison sacks remain up near then head of the toad after skinning. I didn't know until recently that they were being successfully eaten by any creature.
However, teaching a racoon to skin them would be handy for the Cane Toad leather industry!

Well the local toads might be better for eating than a cane toad. But I don't think I'll test the idea just now.....

seems meat ants eat baby toads, but they don't really expect it to make much difference to the toad population.
