Stuart the way i see it is with the entrance and exit both at the bottom is say a 4 in thickness of anerobick junk lying on the floor of the growbed there will be no oxygen there for worms to survive ,putting water in the bottom under gravety wont push junk up through the media

So are you saying that I should have it running along the top or just near the top?

Is my concern about root invasion something to be worried about or not?

What if I had it about 40cm down along the length of the bed (compromise)?

I don't really know what is best.

i would run it along the top [above where it is now] then once a month just lift it to clear roots i think with that pipe the holes will eventually block and the water will just go to the end any how [in my book the right place]
