Most cant grow iceberg lettuce i had success running a bed in a closed loop and changing [topping up ] with 10% water from the main system every day

Cabbages going well... but the beetroot is still struggling, trying to recover from the furnace blast of the heat the other week...

Might need to transplant it out into another bed and/or hand water for a week...

Suffered a decline in yabby numbers recently... although today I spotted about twenty little 'uns' in the nursery tank....

Needed to boost the nutrients to the blue barrel system though... so threw a couple more goldies in...

The existing goldie welcomed them with open arms .... and they all started doing laps around the tank..... along with two small Silver Perch...

Have no idea how they got there... could only have been through the pipes from the hospital tank.... about Xmas time...

Well I'm sad to report that Mum passed away over night...

She'd been acting strangely for a couple of days... not returning to her hidey hole... and seemingly struggling to move around...

Had hoped that perhaps she was just getting ready to moult or breed... but alas...
