brother dan on page 16 , the image 0081 the blue tank. what size is it? i know its a behlen fun pool and just like mine. im guessing but i say its the 9 ft.

how much do they cost in texas? i know behlen is in nebraska so im curious if they are any price differance with you being closer
to the big vacuform machine :D

do you have any of the other behlen brand tanks?

im liking mine a lot and can testify they are tough units as my crazy cows used to climb right in the larger one i have here and its still doing fine.

The big blue tank is 900 gallons. I think I paid $384 from tractor supply; not sure. I never have used it either. I was thinking if making a rail collector out of it.

Weird, I've never seen a bluegill that wasn't on the end of a hook.

Matthew grows blue gill in his system. He said they are very tasty but grow slower than tilapia, but might be almost a pound in a year(453 grams). I am aiming for 250 grams and twice the number of fish. Its a bit of an experiment. We will see how it turns out in 7 or 8 months.

I liked the idea for a few reasons:
1) local native fish.
2) I must have fish now so I can have veggies
3) I can feed them BSF, roaches, and almost anything else; cutting my feed bill to nill.
4) Matthew has had some success growing them.
5) Wider temp range than tilapia
6) Seems they like to breed as well. So, perhaps I can supply my own stock next year.
7) Local price is same a commercial tilapia. $250 per thousand.

I am still growing tilapia as well and soon I am going to hook the tilapia to my large grow bed as well.

Been thinking of kicking my system into gear. Drop a thousnd fingerling in and see what happens. Got to do it before the catfish get too big. Don't think the silvers will eat a lot of the smaller fish. And winter is getting closer. System is heated tho.

What fish are you going to put in? With a heated system I guess most anything can work.
