Thanks for the words of encouragement Gemmell - I needed them!

I am feeling a bit more positive about AP again. Rupe has some advanced SP fingerlings he has offered to sell me - hopefully I can fatten them up before the Winter Of My Discontent comes.

I just need it to rain so my tank fills up. Sigh.

Anyone know a rain dance?

Awesome! Thanks. I've seen a couple swimming around (it is dark) & no floaters.

How much have you been feeding them? They didn't surface for any floating pellets.

They've probably become used to a sinking pellet Scottie... when they hungry enough... or when you're not looking... they'll take the "floaters" ...

Water temp will dictate your feed ration.... try them on 30gms, twice daily....and see if they clean them all up...

Going to be hard to judge, until they get used to the different feed.... test your water every day for a week and monitor for any spikes....

And watch for any flashing... in case of any "Ich" ... salt if necessary...

Hmmmmm, they're still not eating the floating pellets. Often they're still there a few hours later. They disappear by the next day, but I don't know if they're eating them or just sinking to the bottom.

Any suggestions how I can ween them onto the floating pellets?

Scottie.

I'd say they are eating them... just not when you're around...

What feed are you using??
