I wanted to put some half barrels underneath my half barrel GB'b and grow some duckweed to supplement food, then thought that if i can put some yabbies in then i wouldn't have to cycle it thru the fish tank. Will this work? I would have to provide some airation though wouldn't i? What do yabbies eat? How many would i be able to put in a 100l half barrel? And roughly how much would each barrel of duckweed supplement the fish food?
Is it worth doing or just stick to worms?

Cheers
Jon

Yabbies like duckweed, not sure if they produce enough waste to grow much. I throw some into my yabbie tank all the time and they love eating it also.
