I just found thgis thread ..... gee nice to be missed.
Alive and healthy , well alive:) Yes some ongoing family issues ,, but that seems to be going in the right direction now. Wife and kids have been in Thailand since October last year , I decided a long break was a better option than a permanent seperation and the plan seems to have worked ,, expected return date is 24 June.
So I have missed nearly half my daughters life ( she is now 14 months old) and a large piece of my sons life ,, but at the same time it was deemed a necessary althgough pianfull option to get the necessary changes in attitude from both adults involved.
ANYWAY ,, so yes i had a few weeks overseas , 12 days in Thailand to visit the kids and Mrs ,, and the best 2 weeks I've ever had on a beach in the Phillipines.
Living alone , working shift work and 6 days a week with the added duties of cleaning washing gardeninmg cooking ( yep no take-away for me ) has seen me with little spare time.
The "fish farm" in Thailand has changed into a fishing park ..... people pay to go fishing in my lakes :) A few of the smaller ponds have been filled in with dirt as the land's value has risen substantially and will be sold off in the next several years for a housing estate.
Moringa trees are doing what they do , growing like crazy ,, neighbours , cousins Auntiers HALF the bloody town go there to collect a Tilapia or two and a bunbch of young Moringa leaves for a stir-fry.I have hired a part time worker who do's somne feeding and on SaturdaY COLLECVTS SEVERAL TILAPIA A KILO OR SO OF mORINGA A DELIVERS IT TO THE LOCAL CHURCH WHO LOOK AFTEWR ORPHANS.
With the two large lakers now uncontrolled ( THE MALE ONLY tILAPIA WHERE IN THE SMALLER LAKES and mooved to the larger lakes where a mix of male/female ) , Tilapia are breeding faster than Rabbits on Viagra , so next week 3,000 fingerling Barramundi will be put in the two 4,000 square metre lakes ,, they will have a huge supply of live feed:) And those that grow large enough will make excellent sporting fish for our paying customers.
AND ,, yep I've done NIL nothing regards a home aquaponics set-up ,, AHH not quite true I have continued thinking about it :)
