That's correct TCLynx,

I forgot that everyone does not use homemade lye soap. the other stuff could indeed potentially cause trouble. the alcohol works great. for both putting things together and taking them apart.

Good Note.

Mathew

I used petrolatum jelly on my bio filter and it worked great with no ill effects.

When I called I was told that they only sell to customers and that I had to order from the web page. Matthew is going to see if he can still get them at a discounted price.

Wouldn't anyone they sell to be their customer?

purchased mine from aussie globe , he is a very nice man. mine were more money than what folks had said but still nowhere near the cost of bulkhead fittings.

maybe its the same man and he has stopped selling small order retail?

uniseal FTW!

Good luck guys,
I ordered some a week ago, and they're yet to arrive at my pump shop. :-(
He says they're having trouble supplying, and thinks it has something to do with replacing tanks for the bushfire effected areas.

I'm about to put in an order for some uniseals.

The more I order the bigger discount I/we get. Does anyone around my vicinity want any so that we can combine an order?

In addition to wanting to save more money it would also mean I get to see some of you which would be good. Since my invitations to come fishing havn't been excepted

I'll be getting some big ones (4"-35(the -35 bit means it is for DWV as distinct from preassure pipe)) to replace my no holes over flows with holy flows.

I was planning on getting a stack for my second system but I've changed my mind because of the price of the smaller units. Basically I was looking at using 3/4" uniseals instead of 19mm top grommets and barbs. However since a 19mm top and grommet costs $1.1 and a 3/4" uniseal is $3.05 I think I will go with the top hat and grommet.

Economically tophats are bound to be cheaper...
Fishing... yes well umm... do you ever go fishing on the weekend, like when I have a day off? ;-) still love to come.
I'd love some... guy I ordered them off says he's heard nothing from uniseal, 3 weeks after order :-(
Kudapucat is getting very impatient and may get you to place an order for him.
