i only add 2 capfuls to my 200lt system and it seems to disappear out of the water in 2 or 3 hrs

so if you were to add more than that then i cant see it harming your fish in anyway

Need to add seasol can relate to the feed your using. Different feeds can vary vastly in the minerals and trace elements they contain, the feed we have been using lately requires hardly any supplemental seasol dosing. Faye had some feed a couple of years ago that was terrible, the plants suffered all sort of deficiencies and needed lots of seasol.

Fish feeds will have a great impact on water quality and nutrients. The cheap feed I tried before made the place stink. I'm back to buying the costly stuff for now.

As I had noticed a couple of threads, stating they'd added too much, I was looking for a maximum. I don't wanna hurt my little fishies...
So far I have used the figures above that said they were trying 10ml/600l
also I thin it was this thread that said adding 500ml of the concentrate was a bad idea, I'm unclear as to why though.

hi Kuda

adding 500ml to a a 200lt system would be bad as it would cloud the water greatly and nobody seems to know if fish can live in the stuff in high concentrations.... but mine have had no problems with 10ml in 200 lt fish tank

and yes my plants are doing much better no i have changed to orca high protein pellets with little to none of the seasol required since and a bit of worm juice every now again seems to keep the plants very happy ..

I've often used almost a quart (liter) of maxicrop in my big system which I usually figure is close to 1000 gallons of water (at least) now.

I had been using one scoop (a cup) of the chleated Iron I got (though I know chleated iron is different from brand to brand) in my system but the iron deficiencies would come right back in my system so this last time I dossed it twice as much. Turned the water a rusty color and it even brought the pH of the system down to 7.4 for a couple of days from my normal 7.6 or above. Water still is a bit rusty looking but the fish don't seem to be troubled by it as far as I can see. I can say that the few cucumber plants in the system seem to appreciate the change.

My system started out about 8000Lt. and I put 1Lt. of seasol in each of 3 growbeds as I started to cycle them into the system (2 more GB'2 to phase in when I get the automatic control happening). I now have about 9000Lts in the system thanks to a bit of rain yesterday. The plants are doing fine and my 220 fish are doing fine. I only ran my system for a couple of days befor I put the fish and plants in so I'm guessing that the seasol kept things going while the bacteria were still getting developed. Four weeks on and all is working OK.
