just throwing the cat amongst the pigeons... do you think the moon cycle would really have an effect in an aquaponics system that already has water pumping into its roots all day??? :?

The opposite actually, its been too cold, so most my pumping is during the day. Was down to 18 deg c water temp for a few days.

Just checked the moon calender and saw 9 good days of fishing, time to prepare soil do not sow seed or plant.
Huh this seemed to contradict what I thought about the full moon cycle. Checked with Joel and found I looked at the no moon. Full black instead of full white circle.
Planting has been revised as follows - 5 days of poor fishing and ideal for sowing sprouts such as alfalfa, mung beans wheat grass etc. Quick germination with rapid growth spurt though only for a short period. Avoid planting other crops as growth will be weak and spindly. 11th and 12th May are the days to sow all root crops such as beetroot, carrots, potatoes, onions and peanuts. Spray for bugs, weeds and disease.
