Troutman, not sure if the pm sent...having computer glitches, so here it is in case.
We would certainly like some on your early trip up (if you are still in Mandurah though we could come and collect any time-it would be great to see your set up). We would like the 100gm ones, and twenty to fifty depending on price. Our barramundi are ready for the freezer...so we are looking forward to trout!!!
Should the pool be emptied and refilled (god, hope not!) or the water left with no fish for a period of time before putting trout in, or is it ok to put trout in as soon as the barra are out?

You can run your system fishless for a while, just add some humonia to keep the bacteria happy. Maybe some feeder goldfish. Not sure if the trout will clean them up in time. My goldies are all over 30cm so not a problem. Good for keeping a system going between fish seasons.

It got to 25°C, but I killed off the Trout by over feeding in November, trying to put on some weight for the plate, but just managed to kill most off. There is a SOLE survivor, my $150 trout (if you include purchase price, feed and pumping the water)
I have learned some lessons, but I am still trying to get it right. It is a good thing that I have other food sources and do not rely on this for all of our vegetables and meat.

I had a good crop on my tomatoes, cabbages, broccoli, cauliflower, capsicum, beans and chilli plants despite the lack of fish numbers. Everything is just a fair bit smaller. Roma tomatoes are more like cherry tomatoes, etc.

Troutman,
for some reason it is impossible to send you a pm with phone details etc regarding trout fingerlings. We will definitely have the 50 you mentioned, and I will send details just as soon as we can (messages just keep sitting in the outbox????)
