Seeing as how you just joined 4 days ago with a lowercase name, it sucks that your computer just messed up.

Capitals don't flow very well, and the reader must look at each word properly. It is almost impossible to quickly scan a post.

hi guys

did aussies invented aquaponics ???? or did it came from somewhere else... here in belgium just a few people know about it. there is frank who is setting up an european aquaponics web site. we have to re-invent the system. the other day i asked a few pros about aquaponics (hey what about aquapiccinics ha ha ha ) i mean people who are involved in ecology and other green stuff they just could not figure out what it was. they know about hydroculture that was it. If you need something from belgium just let me know. just forgot i am also involved with vermiculture and bokashi. whats next ????

No, we didn't invent it. Someone from America did I think, but my history's not great.
Aquaponics was taken up by Aussies mainly because in the last 10 years or so we've had no water. For the last 30 years we've had little water. AP is a solution to that. In Melbourne, the capital city of my State Victoria, we have been on government restrictions for the last 5 years or so, where we are not allowed to use tap water on our gardens, excepting for a 2 hour bracket twice a week.

This has made AP quite attractive to us, and is the main reason it has taken off so well. Plus we like new and cool things to play with :-)

we have too much water over here. the last years the climate is going nuts; i remember when i was a kid it started to freeze and snow from october till march/april with temps far bellow zero and i mean all over belgium that was in the fifties and sixties. now the only part of the country where the weather can realy turn bad is in the east towards germany. when it rains it is pooring? i call it liquid sun.
