hello from brussels belgium

I WOULD LIKE TO SET UP AN CASCADE GROWBED SYSTEM. I HAVE AN GARDEN CASCADE THAT I WOULD LIKE TO USE AS AN IRRIGATION SYSTEM. THE WATER VOLUME IS ABOUT 120 GALLONS. THE WATER IS FALLING DOWN FROM AN HEIGHT OF ABOUT 4 FEET. THE SIZE OF THE RECIPIENT ON THE FOOT OF THE CASCADE IS AN HALF OVALE. LONGEST LENGTH 4.6 FEET SHORTEST LENGT IS 3 FEET AND DEPTH IS 15 INCH. I WOULD LIKE TO INSTALL 4 GROWBEDS OF 2 BY 4 FEET, DEPTH ABOUT 10 INCH
THE GROW BEDS WILL BE SET UP AS AN STAIRE CASE. BED NUMBER ONE WILL BE IRRIGATED FIRST, THEN NUMBER TWO ETC. HOW MUCH FISH WILL BE NEEDED AND HOW MUCH WATER TO IRRIGATE GROWBED NUMBER ONE. IF THERE IS ANYBODY OUT THERE WHO CAN HELP JUST GET IN CONTACT. THANK YOU

WELCOME HENRI... could you please stop shouting at me... lowercase is much more readible...

Are you intending to use your current garden cascade to fill your first growbed... and then drain to the next level of the garden cascade and fill the next growbed etc...??

Cascading beds works well, but imho you must use siphons to achieve it, not slow drain.
if you have a timer, you will only need to flood the top bed, which will hold about 50%gravel and 50% water. so half your GB volume will be used.

then you want to have at least half the total volume of all your GB as your fish tank size.

Please, a drawing or pic would be better, I'm having trouble working out what numbers fit where

Never mind google is as always, my firend.

From what I can tell, what we colloquially refer to as a loop siphon is in fact known as a 'Tantalus' Siphon.
Word for the day eh?

I have 4 gbs that flow into a second gb. Siphons on the top but you can have the bottom setup for slow drain. Most of my standpipes have a drain hole just in case the gb part fills when the siphon breaks.

Ahh, computer problems are not good :-( Hope you get it fixed.
Capitals don't flow very well, and the reader must look at each word properly. It is almost impossible to quickly scan a post.
