Well we have lost 4 trout because they are jumping out even after I dropped the water level. We got an old curtain and covered the rear half of the tank and now they shouldn't get out at all. Here's hoping

It takes the trout a few days to settle in to their new surroundings, we usually find after about a week they are used to the tank. Mind you they do get excited in the evenings when the insects start to fly across the water, tends to be an active time of the day at sunset.

ARGH... I setup a shade cover to try and avoid todays hot sun but the wind was my downfall. A tent pole fell over and knocked the piping and water was being pumped onto the ground. My wife came home just in time to find only 2 inches of water left in the tank....

We have half filled it again and so far all our fishy friends are going well... The plants copped a hiding from the shade cloth bouncing around on top...

Back to square one but a little less seasol in that water now :)

The fish were really freindly tonight. The have been hiding at the back of the tank since they went in, so they must be getting used to us now.

Put up a video!
