Aside from the fact you can make coffee as strong as you like and Coca Cola put it in their product to hook the young. Sorry KP has to go.

I love my caffeine you can't take it away from me.Image Its the only reason I'm currently awake.
They do need to stop young people from drinking too much of it tho. Some cans have a recomended limit of 1 per day. But some of the kids drink them like normal softdrink. And with some containing 1000mg of taurine(spelling right cos I checked the drink I just finished. Crap this one has 1892mg in it) this stuff allows the body to use more of the caffeine. In young people it can burn out the adrenal gland.

It doesn't BUT it's dependency need is huge.......and its so highly addicitive 'cause its the great escape from reality.......

Herion does damage body organs: http://www.dassa.sa.gov.au/site/page.cfm?u=137
Quote:
Long-term effects
People who use heroin on a regular basis for a longer period may experience the following physical effects:

severe constipation
tooth decay (from dry mouth caused by lack of saliva; saliva protects teeth against decay)
irregular menstrual periods (none at all or at the wrong time)
difficulty in getting pregnant
impotence
loss of appetite and loss of weight

This referrs to the male and female sexual organs, organs of the gastro-intestinal tract, as well as the salivery glands and the effects on teeth.

Well guys i'm comong out of the closet for this topic! Just before xmas i decided to give up the dope after 10 years. In that 10 years i only had 3 months spell from it, i can say it was addictive but when i decided just to say no more, i just found something else to do!
The only thing i have notice since giving it up was that i sweat more when i sleep, thats it!
My decision was not based on anything apart from the crap of trying to keep enough for myself eg. "chasing". After my 10 years and looking back i do notice a sense of keeping to myself because of the community look of druggies. That being said i have always said to myself that i wouldn't try other drugs, even thou i have had plenty of offers over the years.
I know look at dope smoking as no other than the same as beer, smokes, drugs from you doctor for pain and others. It can not be good for you over a life time but then saying that what in this world we live in today is :!:
I just hope know that after me coming out and saying this that people do not put me in a different boat if i had not said anything at all.

Well, I have to agree with you KE, I didn't drink before I was 18, because beer and wine tasted like crap, and I was never one to succumb to peer pressure, and spirits, which I still adore, I left alone cos I was too cheap to try em! The little bottles seemed a waste of money, eg $/L is really high, but the economical bottles were too expensive in case I didn't like em :-)
Money is a great motivator. :-)
Whilst I have always enjoyed a joint, I have always had a toke of some1 else's. Nobody in this country has EVER offered to sell me drugs. Ever. I just wouldn't know where to start!

More money for useful things has always had precedence over recreational drugs ;-)

That's my admission Adrian, I'm a tight-ass, and so straight-looking no dealer has ever approached me :-)
I know lots of ppl who do drugs, some heavily and lots who dont at all. In most cases I'd have to say there's little abnormal about these ppl as a group excepting the two extremes.
I don't think anybody should think poorly of a reformed drug user.
For that matter I would congratulate you on kicking the habit. Especially as long term use is meant to have some nasty side-effects. So good on ya

In using any drug, whether legal, prescription or illicit, use it in moderation (even if it's medicinal) and you'll be fine. If it's so addictive to preclude moderation, leave it well alone.

That's just your body getting rid of the toxins stored in any fat and tissues... and your brain re-wiring itself....

Same thing happens with most people giving up any drugs... chemically or mentally addictive...

See how you are in another 3 months...

Oh... and I'm still smoking cigarettes... at the moment.... never really smoked until I was about thirty... gave them away for 6 years.... smoked for about 10 years... gave them up for 2... and started again about a year ago....

Funny you should say that C1!
Went to the local hydro store i have seen before in Shepparton, got to the door and noticed the door had been kicked in and boarded up!
The store is now closed for good, but still has a few items sitting in the store
