Just checked the link. I use them all the time and they are never that price at the local shops. The last tank boss I got had an inside dia of 2in and was around the $20 mark from memory. The smallest ones I use are $15 at the most.

My GBs are made from cool room panels and E section roofing iron with a pond liner. Well, buying seems more of a challenge than I would have guessed.
6 stores, and finally I found somebody who knew what I was talking about!!
Eventually I located somebody who didn't stock them but can get them in.
As I'm ordering them, and I can't see them in advance, and I have to buy a bag of 25, can anybody suggest what I need to specify to get uniseals to fit 25mm pressure pipe, and that will fit a plastic tank properly?

works similar to a tophat grommet as far as I can tell.
Uniseal grommet fits snugly into a hole you have drilled.
Pushing pipe into it, makes it expand, sealing upon the aforementioned hole.
The act of expanding the uniseal, also causes the pipe pushed in to seal against the rubber.

NFI but that would cause a problem for me, as I wish to use pressure pipe, which is a different size to drain :-(

I will do my best to find out. Then I'll get some and find out for sure.

I've used uniseals on pressurized pipe as well as on gravity drain pipes. Also on regular pvc as well as on pressure pipe (thin wall pvc.)

Only problem I've ever really had with them is when going through really thick tank sides, it can be rather hard to push the pvc through, especially if the angel is not good for pushing the pipe through, I have always managed anyway, or gotten the cook to do it for me :wink:

(He does have his uses.)
