Mr Fothergill's have some good seeds, if you can't get Eden
or Diggers. I don't do Yates :blackeye: and check to make sure they are
NOT hybrid   .
Large seeds are sometimes coated with crap  , wash it off before sowing.
I prefer seeds, as seedling were germinated when the factory
has space or time...
Normally, with NO thought of the moon phases.
Lots will bolt because of this.

If you don't have the seeds you want to plant now,
I'd get the next best...IMHO only  and get them in ASAP.

I have had very little luck with direct sowing seeds. They always get burnt before they get going. I know I should be using more shade but would a vermiculite bed in the AP be worthwhile in getting the seeds started and then transferring them to where i want them?

No i haven't  as i have had salt at 5ppt for the last 2 or 3 weeks but i was about to go buy some plants tomorrow and just shove them in like i did the last lot. Some stuff did really well and some didn't but its an expensive hit and miss way to do it. I shall get hold of some varieties of seeds you recommended and setup some temporary shade where i plant them. Thanks for the help C1.
