I did once experience a problem with my float switch operated sump pump that is in a lined grow bed sunk in the ground.
The float switch is one of those where the float travels up and down a stick or wire. The bed is on the ground and the only location where I had an issue was in the "sump pit" in the end where the sump pump, switch and plumbing are. There is no gravel in that "sump pit" so during that heavy rain event the liner under the float switch floated up and interfered with the float switch operation.

Anyway, all that is just to say that where the liner is not being held down, there could be issues of floating. Since you are planning on using an external pump and I'm hoping that you sump is now sized so that it will never run dry, I'm hoping that you are not likely to run into problems.

Yes... the sump is much bigger than the total GB size with gravel ....

the 4 x 4 side rails will help support the GB.... so it wont settle as much, hopefully

havent posted in a while, here, so got a couple pics... starting to pre-fab the main growbed... it will be 16' long but will not do the final assembly until the FT and ST are in place..

almost warm enough to plant all the GH plants to the outdoor gardens...and start breaking down the existing tables....
