Why sinking pellets? My silvers appear to be happy with floating and I don't have to stress so much about uneaten food.

Not sure Scott, might have something to do with all the Kookaburras around here, they do feed of the surface but only after dark.
It might also have something to do with the fact that you have a roof over your tanks.. :dontknow:

that is the feed you are using now Brett, the 4mm pellets are from Lauke... more dust in the bags than we would have liked, but the fish hit the pellets the same as the growbest ones we have... No return call from Grobest so far struck out with them... so much for customer service... Might try the organic pellets guy... where is that thread with his contact details.

have any of you guys got any interest in some of the organic silver perch pellets? They are 4mm, but not over that, and he has a crumble too. I can bring in a pallet of it, cost to be determined, but I would like a bit of feedback first. Apparently the feed has been given the thumbs up at Grafton research centre, so we are keen to give it a go... anyone interested in a bag or part thereof?

Stu,
What size silvers will start taking 4mm pellets?
I'm not too fussed about organic or otherwise, however I keen to support anyone crazy enough to try and make a living out of AP
I'll give it a go if your price is reasonable.

Gist is, by the time we pay freight and split the bags etc, we would be unable to get the feed to you guys for less than about $100 for a 25 kilo bag. And freighting small quantities is out of the question.

What we have decided is to buy a bulka bag of lauke mills 2.7mm pellets. We will pick them up next Wednesday or Thursday. They will be made that day so they will be fresh as a daisy. These pellets are only available in tonne lots by order, so if anyone wants any, please contacvt me. Price yet to be determined, but will be around $3 per kilo for quantities 10 kilos and over. Feed will be available at the meet on the 7th or you can pick up or we can send out before then.

Scottt, our silvers at 100mm plus are taking the 4mm, but with some discomfort lol... we will be moving the smaller of them back to the 2.7mm pellets when we get them.

pm me or reply here if you are interested in some 2.7mm feed.

Cheers
Mon

Might be interested in some too. Will larger perch still take smaller feed even if they are a lot bigger than the recommended feed size?

Just thinking of getting a bit more and keeping it as they grow.
Hopefully murray cod will like the taste of it.

Out of interest - what brand of feed do you usually stock on the FF website Monya? Just since that's what my fish are currently getting.

Ya reckon they're uncomfortable "taking" them... imagine how they feel "passing" them ...

Hi Stu,

Can you put me down for 10 Kilos, don't think I need that much but can't see it being worth your while for less.

(I might need to do a pick up before the meet)

Himzo.
