Hi Folks,

Just wondering if anybody knows where I might be able to get some 3mm pellets for my Silvers, I'm just about out of 2mm and need to buy some more food.

In case your wondering, not all my fish are ready for 4mm, so I thought I may just see if I can get something in between.

BTW, I would prffer to get it locally if possible.

Himzo.

Yes i'm also after 2 or 3mm pellets for silvers. I only have 4mm ones and now that i have an automatic feeder, crushing them is not working out for me. Where did you get the 2mm pellets in Adelaide Himzol?

The food i have atm came from him. It was the only size he had at the time and crushing it seems to work fine when hand feeding. The automatic feeder dispenses dust first as it settles in the machine. My local fodder store only sells really large pellets.

I got the 2mm stuff from Soladome, they aren't cheap from them, but at the time I only needed a couple of kilos at most. Now the fish are feeding full on and growing, I'm going to need a larger quantity.

I also noticed that my fish don't like coming to the surface for feed and Soladome only sell floating pellets, so I'm hopeing to get some sinking ones.

The aquarium shop on Grand Junction Road, Mansfiel Park also sells pellets, but very expensive for the quantity you get!

Ok, it looks like I need to get them from Interstate, Anybody know of where I can get 3mm sinking pellets from?

Thanks Rupe, I'll give Stu a call, but I'm pretty sure he only has 4mm pellets.

problem is, no one bloody stocks it. We are currently looking into getting a mixed tonne of all sizes up to 4.5mm of sinking silver perch pellets from Grobest so I will let you know how we go. Seems the fish feed market is a bit funny at the moment... heard that Ridleys has basically run out...
If anyone can find an outlet of ridleys in Adelaide that actually stocks the feed, post it here. :)

Ok, I think I have enough to last about a week, maybe more, so hopefully you will have an answer by then.

Goble and Son is my favorite shop!
I buy all my dog and chook food there.
Always friendly, good old fashion service.
I'm going there tomorrow. I'll see what they can do.

Why sinking pellets? My silvers appear to be happy with floating and I don't have to stress so much about uneaten food.

Im happy with floating or sinking. The silvers take stuff on surface only when the sun is off the water i have noticed. Possibly because i don't cast a big nasty shadow without light behind me. Let me know how you go, my mate only asked them about it yesterday he loves the store also.
