Finally some cool and rain
After the worst heat wave in a centenary my trout are still going well. The tank reached a maximum of 26.5 after 3 days of 44c heat. The new in ground tank works but I have had to fix some leaks in the screw on cap. After the 44c days the water in the tank was 22c so it appears that this combined with some ice from the beer fridge is enough for my setup. Today its 24c tank is at 24c and should cool more tonight :D

Average high in our area for Jan is about 28c we usually get a few runs of high 30's odd 40+ but this year has been a serious test for my setup. We were lucky to only have one short blackout, the backup system handled it easily. I started the generator to check it was working but did not need it. Some places nearby had 19hrs without power.

Yeh at one stage they cancelled 150 trains for the day. Rail system has been a complete failure in this heat.
