No problem. :D I could see some interesting information and an opportunity to learn in that.
I agree with you and think that AP is a great example of using a original natural system that functions perfectly in nature and harnessing its potential in a localised and focused way.
Working with the natural laws would save a lot of pain and toil on an individual and a global level and would serve to aleviate a lot of the issues we are currently experiencing as a global community, in my opinion. :flower:
Are there any good sources of information on what you are talking about that you can post for me (and anyone else who cares to look into it)?

That would explain why my potatos are not doing anything yet  ...
cheers.

What are the days in reference to?

Al, I think C1 is referring to the gestation period with these animals.

Agreed Rick and C1,
If I was single and had no dependants I wouldnt work anything like I do and I'd Surf more, Fish more and grow more vegies and fish... All need to be in sync with natural rythms.
But I wouldnt swap what I have to go back to that... I was a bit of a feral...
Just bringing what I have in my life into a more harmonious, authentic and integral state is a lot of my focus at the moment. That as well as keeping food on the table, bills at bay and a sence of fun and purpose to the routine for my family...

Getting good growth in the plants and fish, I have a watermellon the size of a cricket ball, lots of baby cucumber and chilli's and we are eating plenty of cos lettuce and silverbeet.
The fish are feeding well, better on the hot days and best in the dark.
They are looking about 25 to 30 cm long over all but that is just an estimation by comparing them to the brick the pump sits on.
My first tomatos are almost ready (second lot really as Kai pulled the biggest ones off when I was adding water to the f/T) and I spotted a female pumkin flower that I will fertalise when it opens up...
Pretty happy overall

It's hard to keep this up to date with the growth rates...
The last pix are about 5 days old (when they were taken, not up loaded) and some of the plants are nearing double that size again...
The chooks love the greens I am cutting out of the growbeds for them and we are enjoying Tomato's, cucumber, lettuce, spinace and sliverbeet. :D

I just noticed last night that the flowers/fruit I thought had taken have stopped growing at about 50c piece size and dropped off the end of the stem and died... I am thinking of taking the Pumkins out and replacing them with something else...
Will give em a little longer.

Getting some good cucumbers and there are 100s of small round tomatoes coming up. The lettuce has been the star performer as has silverbeet. A broccili will be ready in a week or two and I have more hot chilli than I would use in a year!

I think that when I re plant I will give the broccoli and cauliflower a miss as they take up alot of space and stop a lot of light and take a while to produce one item to eat. gonna go more with the plants types that produce several items per planting.

Pumkins are gona go.
And the watermellon will to when its one and only fruit has been harvested.

The fish are thriving as far as I can see. hungry little sods! :D

Onya Al.

It was great to see your system in the flesh last week. Not bad at all with Barra like that in a "lined hole in the ground".

Cheers Rick, yep it was good to see you and your mob for a visit.

I caught a couple of the barra yesterday to show a friend and they have fattened up a bit and of the 5 or so we looked at all but one would be over the 27cm mark of the last lot I caught.

They are starting to much up the water a lot more now too.
