here's a note for all users, the links that are contained within threads that point to information within the forum won't work any more. They are trying to open somewhere in the old forum and so won't work in New Home.

Another hint: Slow down and read your post before hitting submit. My trigger ringer is always itchy and I crew up 80% of my post and being that there is no edit button I just have to look stupid

On a previous version of the forum we could change the kind of fish we had above our avatar. I haven't found the place to do that on this version of the forum. Is it still possible? If so, how?

I think that only Steve and I can change that, it's part of the rankings system which works on the number of posts members have made.

We used to all be able to view the different rankings in the old forum, but I don;t think that is possible now.

you can sort the Members list by Rank. At the top right of the page, go to Members. At the bottom of that page find the drop down list for Select Sort Method, go to Rank, and choose Descending (or Ascending), and Submit.

as an apostle of AP, I am glad to see I sit atop the rankings. Not sure about by lieutenant though

I know this sounds stupid but what is the outbox in PM's for? Sometimes I think I've sent a message (or perhaps Iv'e previewed it ) but instead of being in sent mail it sits in the outbox.

I think the outbox holds the msg until the person you sent it to reads it...

Yep.... It's how you can tell if someone has read your PM.. If it's still in your out box, they haven't looked at it yet. You can also edit PM's that are in your outbox.

And if you realise you've made an ass of yourself (not that it's ever happened to me ) you can even delete it... if you're quick enough... loved that feature when I responded to a 'stuff for sale' post that was over 2 years old
