Truth is if you are getting that much juice per week, you are probably keeping the worm farm too wet. Worm bins like compost only need be as moist as a well wrung out sponge, if they get too wet, add more dry bedding material to help keep things from getting anaerobic.
The juice that leaks out of the bottom of a worm bin is not necessarily what people call worm tea. Worm tea would be made by soaking finished worm castings. What usually leaks out of the bottom of a worm bin is leachate or excess juice from whatever is decomposing in the worm bin and it may or may not be good for plants.

It probably won't hurt an AP system but it is hard to know. I would advise being very careful about using much of it at least at first.

Just poured of a litre and half this morning and it looks like Coke a Cola, it is definitely good quality juice, outside temperature is 40c+ or 104+ for you TC, they need the water as hessian cover starts to dry after 2 days, but must be someone that has tried it

From that thread:

thanks for the story, mornings.

funny i was just outside wondering if you could power the GB's only on castings.

my thoughts;

you would be better off having seperate worm bins and using finnished castings to make a recirculating nutrient solution. see various info on partially composted worm bin contents being phytotoxic to plants.............

cultured fish may or may not be superior, but it allows us to grow a viable source of protein in our backyard in synergy with the plant side of things.

also distinction should probably be made between earth worms and compost worms, one breaks down decomposing matter, the other works the soil.

I think we first got onto the goodness of worms in our beds when a few people found that they had taken up residence of their own accord. if they WANT to be there then it is a good sign :)

Mmmmmmm, up to you. i wouldn't.

i'd use the leachate on fruit trees (diluted) if u want, and make some real worm tea for the AP.

steep finished worm castings (bottom tray usually at least 6 months old) in water for 24 hrs.

Id agree you worm farm seems to wet. i dont add ANY water to mine. wet bin = trouble . vegge and fruit scraps are about 70% water anyway and keep it moist.

oh, i forgot the original question!!! yes, i have used worm castings in the AP with no problem. hung a pouch of castings in the sump to leach out.

I only get liquid when it rains and the farm is a few months old.

What about Juice in AP, ok cut down the water, just have a hessian bag on top and it dries out a bit so try and keep that moist

just use the same water from the outflow to re-wet the hessian bag every few days.
