About 15mins fill and 15 drain it holds about 1000l but only ever drains about 850 of that. The pump feeds it 3000l/hour by my calculations and the water exits the syphon at 6000l/hour or there abouts

My drain is a bit different to others on here. I have a 90mm stormwater pipe running under whole growbed with 3 draining points running into this. The 90mm stormwater then has a coke drum attached to the end of it with the auto syphon inside this. The auto syphon also has extra bits added to it to get a real sharp stop the moment it sucks air. Because im against a fence i have had to silence all the draining so i couldn't have the gurgling that slow stops create.

Great looking system Fish Fingers.
Do you need some sort of a lock on the Sump cover to keep the kiddies out(or in!)?

Thanks, yes the sump will be getting a lock in the next few weeks but it is quite heavy to open and has no handle so i am quite sure that no children will be finding there way in there atm. Come to think of it i don't know any children so whats the rush. I also realized that the red flushing handle will have to be removed before someone lets all my fish water out and floods the place. I think i will take the screw out and just place the handle on there when i need to use it.
Im going away for work for about a week and im not sure i will be able to get the net so please excuse me if i don't answer any posts this week im MIA.
Cheers,
Brett

That has to be one of the neatest well designed systems I have seen on here (or anywhere else)!
Love it.

Do you have any photos of this before you added the growbed medium?
